ARSENAL legend Dennis Bergkamp is being tipped to become a future Gunners boss after applying to take his coaching badges.
The 38-year-old - who hung up his boots at the end of the 2005/6 season - has applied to enrole on the course in his native Holland.
He is eligible for a fast-track scheme having won 79 caps for his country and follows former Arsenal team-mates Tony Adams, Steve Bould and Paul Merson in moving into coaching.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, given his close connections with Arsenal, Bergkamp (pictured) has been installed as 16/1 to replace current boss Arsene Wenger as manager at the Emirates at some point in the future.
His calm, methodical approach to the game is very similar to that of the Frenchman.
Bergkamp played 315 times and scored 87 goals for the north Londoners in an 11-year spell.
During that time, he won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, aswell as the Footballer of the Year and PFA Player of the Year awards in 1998.
very cool guy n he worn my fav number 10 shirt.
not say i being racist here, i am wondering why do wenger give the number to Gallas for nuts? he could have given tis number to RVP or Fabregas instead.
all time fav player... he definitely deserve to be future boss but got feeling tony adams will take the seat 1st... but if he reali do become boss how he make his european travels?
thinking back feel wenger should've let dennis play his last game in the ucl final...
but bergkamp is non-flying dutchman. i doubt he can travel by plane given his fear of flight thing.
wow it will be great to c him back
1 of my fav player too
nice.. but great players rarely make good managers... will he prove the theory wrong??
