adebayor's first touch mostly very poor. he kept losing the ball. arsenal should take the cue from walcott and shoot on sight.
it is pointless making so many passes.
anyway the referee was blind. hleb should have gotten a penalty!!!
liverpool are the favourites now unless arsenal can step up a few gears for the 2nd leg.
their recent performances were not convincing at all.

Knn ... Liverpool's goal could have been prevented if Flamini got the ball away or Clichy do a good job spotting Kuyt's run and marked him ... As for 2nd half , Kuyt got lucky when he brought down Hleb in the box and there's no penalty given probably because the ref is also dutch ... Also Bendtner , why you blocked Fabregas' goal !?

I must say the penalty was a 90% deal. And also it was probably one of the most funniest and yet strangest moments i have watch on live football... Bendtner was weird, stopping the goal bound ball on the line and juggling it before putting it out... I am not sure if he was going for own glory and trying to score it himself or just couldn't get out of the way... But whatever, for a moment i was laughing after watching him doing his trick on the Pool goal line... The last time i saw something quite funny on live football was when Man City fans throw so many balloons onto the pitch that it ended up playing a one two with the Sheff Utd striker and allowing them to score in their FA cup match and knocking out city...
On the penalty, it could have been given... But i guess Helb went down a little too dramatically that gave the referee the impression that he was looking for it... I know Arsenal fans won't like to hear this but if they are being honest, often Eboue and Helb goes down quite easily therefore giving the referee the impression he was playing for it... Eboue went down too easily on the 11 min looking for a freekick. Helb, i guess the referee must have seen his last CL match against AC Milan (2nd leg) where he was given a yellow for... what else, going down too easily in the box... Eboue did the same thing (in the 1st leg). I am not saying it wasn't a penalty but the dutch referee probably went with his little 10% instead having seen these two same players "falling" in the box quite deliberately in gunners last 2 CL matches...
For me at the end, the most memorable moment of the match was watching Bendtner juggling the ball near the Pool goal line... It keeps playing back on my mind... What was he doing... I guess many people also want to ask him this question...
And I notice some of the players didn't listen to Wenger's instructions cos towards the end, when gunners had a freekick near the centre circle, in injury time... Wenger wanted them to play it long into the box but instead one of the arsenal player just make a short pass and the referee ended the match... Wenger looked piss with him.

Why did people kept mentioning the reserves fixture ? ( Becos theyhave nothing to have a shout at ! )Baptista was Arsenal reserves , liverpool played many reserves for that Donald Duck Cup .

poolman, why u keep contradicting yrself? Simply we have ALOT to shout at, remember the 3-0 after the reserves fixture?
Last night, experience wise liverpool had so many experienced players and they had so little ball possesion? Arsenal had so many young players, but they played so well?
Composure, Arsenal sure attacked until liverpool players had nearly pee in their shorts, i dont remember seeing much attack or ball possesion in the 2nd half for liverpool
Tactical, Rafa did was to defend all the way at 2nd? I think this is obviously clearly seen by everyone tat is watching the match?
Discipline, yes Liverpool had the most discipline. Defending at 2nd half all the way, yea they sure win the most defensive play title if there is one =)
We shall see this coming weekend. -
