Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has warned that Eduardo's horrific broken leg has only made the squad more determined to win the title.
Croatia star Eduardo faces at least a year on the sidelines after Martin Taylor's mistimed challenge in the third minute of the Gunners' 2-2 draw with Birmingham.
And Flamini declared: "We wanted to win the league before but now we want to win it also for Eduardo. It upsets you because he has a broken leg. He is not going to be with us for a long time so we want to win the league for him.
"It was a terrible injury - maybe the worst I have seen. I went to see him and it was really bad, it is hard to describe what I saw. It's going to be difficult for him."
Flamini added: "We came back into the dressing room at half-time and said: 'Come on, we've got to act, we have to win this as we want to win the title. We have to win this game to do it'.
"We've shown some great character because it was difficult to get back in the game. We did it and to end up with only a draw is very disappointing.
"We should have killed the game. It is a bad result for us - especially when we conceded the goal 30 seconds before the end of the game."
