Arsenal defender Gael Clichy has received his first call-up to the France squad for next week's friendlies against DR Congo and Spain.
Clichy joins Gunners team-mates William Gallas, Mathieu Flamini, Bakary Sagna and Abou Diaby in Raymond Domenech's squad.
Chelsea trio Nicolas Anelka, Claude Makelele and Florent Malouda are also included in the 36-man squad.
But there is no place for Italy's top scorer David Trezeguet, who has netted 15 goals for Juventus this season.
Gregory Coupet (Lyon), Sebastien Frey (Fiorentina), Mickael Landreau (Paris St Germain), Steve Mandanda (Marseille), Eric Abidal (Barcelona), Jean-Alain Boumsong and Francois Clerc and Sebastien Squillaci (all Lyon), Gael Clichy, William Gallas and Bakary Sagna (all Arsenal), Julien Escude (Sevilla), Patrice Evra (Manchester United), Gael Givet (Marseille), Philippe Mexes (Roma), Willy Sagnol (Bayern Munich), Lilian Thuram (Barcelona), Abou Diaby (Arsenal), Alou Diarra (Bordeaux), Lassana Diarra (Portsmouth), Mathieu Flamini(Arsenal), Claude Makelele (Chelsea), Samir Nasri (Marseille), Jerome Rothen (Paris St Germain), Jeremy Toulalan (Lyon), Patrick Vieira (Internazionale), Nicolas Anelka (Chelsea), Hatem Ben Arfa, Karim Benzema and Sidney Govou (al Lyon), Jimmy Briand (Stade Rennes), Djibril Cisse (Marseille), Thierry Henry (Barcelona), Florent Malouda (Chelsea), Jeremy Menez (Monaco), Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich)

agree totally!
Most likely abidal would be playing at left back rather than clichy or evra.
