WILLIAM GALLAS reckons he would make a good manager when he finally hangs up his boots.
The Arsenal skipper, 30, is hoping his leadership skills will put him in the boss frame when he announces his retirement.
He said: “To be a good manager, you have to understand players.
“That’s easier if you have been a player. You have to know how to speak to players.
“So maybe I will become a manager — and maybe in England, who knows!”
Arsenal hope to complete the sale of French midfielder Lassana Diarra, 22, to Portsmouth for £5.5million.
Boss Harry Redknapp beat Spurs to Diarra’s signature and will make him one of the top earners at Fratton Park on £60,000 a week.
Diarra was close to signing for Newcastle before Sam Allardyce was sacked.
