Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has dismissed claims that starlet Luke Freeman has already agreed to join Arsenal. The 15-year-old has been chased by a host of clubs, but Arsenal look to have won the race to seal his signature.
However, the Kent side insist nothing is confirmed yet.
"He's still a Gillingham player," said Stimson. "Luke is in the process of maybe going across to Arsenal.
"At the moment the chairman and someone from Arsenal are sorting the details out.
No deal"I've read that they'll pay £500,000 for him and I said to the chairman 'happy days' but it's not going to be anywhere near that type of money unfortunately for us.
"It will be something that, if he makes the grade at Arsenal, then we'll get rewarded and there will be some kind of fee for the transfer. He's a special talent."
