Record-breaking youngster may be on his way to the Emirates
Mark Stimson has backed Luke Freeman to move to Arsenal if the Premier League leaders come calling.
Freeman is only 15-years-old, but he has already made three substitute appearances for the Kent-based club and has sparked interest amongst a number of top sides.
The young forward simultaneously broke two records when he made his debut in an FA Cup tie against Barnet back in November.
He became the youngest player to feature in the FA Cup proper, as well as becoming the youngest player to represent Gillingham.
Freeman, who has since featured in victories over Dagenham & Redbridge and Hartlepool, is believed to already be in talks with a couple of high-profile clubs, one of which is rumoured to be Arsenal.
Special talent
Gillingham boss Stimson believes that Freeman has the ability to succeed at a higher level, and has made it clear that he would not stand in the player's way if he decided to head to the Emirates.
"If my 15-year-old son had the chance to go to Arsenal, even as a Tottenham fan, you couldn't turn it down," Stimson told Kent Online.
"I think the football that club plays is the best in the world but I can see the other point of view, about the benefits of him staying here.
"It's going to be Luke's decision. He's seeing a couple of clubs and been talking to them.
"He's a special talent and has the potential to go a long, long way." -

C Owen peak at a young age and lost the spark now, nobody can tell wat will happen, if he is a good Englishmen ,why not, sure he will worth more in future.

Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has dismissed claims that starlet Luke Freeman has already agreed to join Arsenal.
The 15-year-old has been chased by a host of clubs, but Arsenal look to have won the race to seal his signature.
However, the Kent side insist nothing is confirmed yet.
"He's still a Gillingham player," said Stimson. "Luke is in the process of maybe going across to Arsenal.
"At the moment the chairman and someone from Arsenal are sorting the details out.
No deal
"I've read that they'll pay £500,000 for him and I said to the chairman 'happy days' but it's not going to be anywhere near that type of money unfortunately for us.
"It will be something that, if he makes the grade at Arsenal, then we'll get rewarded and there will be some kind of fee for the transfer. He's a special talent."
