Arsenal are ready to step up their interest in Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc after he revealed he wants out of Parkhead.Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to draft in a new goalkeeper next summer as Jens Lehmann looks certain to return to Germany and Boruc is known to be a top target.
Celtic value the goalkeeper in the region of £10million but Boruc believes he may be able to walk away a year early for a cut-price fee, just like Andy Webster did when he left Hearts for Wigan.
Boruc is contracted until June 2009, but like Webster he could use Article 17 of FIFA's transfer regulations and leave early, news which is sure to alert Wenger.
"Celtic want more than £10million for me but I think it is too much," Boruc revealed. "There is much to look forward to with the Champions League in spring and then the European Championship in the summer, but many things can change and I have to see what is best for me."
He's a good keeper. Can repalce mad jens and aluminium.
