Manchester UnitedÂ’s young defender Gerard Pique has hailed his compatriot and Arsenal playmaker Cesc Fabregas.
Like Fabregas, Pique, who is in Sir Alex FergusonÂ’s first-team plans this season, also moved from being Barcelona trainee to England.
20-year-old Pique told Spanish newspaper ADN: “The perfect player does not exist, there is always something you can improve on, but in the case of Cesc Fabregas the margin is very small.
“Almost everything he does is the right thing. He is the leader of the Arsenal team on the field and nearly everything goes through him. The results speak for themselves.
“I do not know if he would be this good a player had he stayed at Barcelona, there can be no doubts that he took the correct decision in coming to England.”
