William Gallas believes that Arsenal have to win a trophy this season and is determined to continue his impressive run in the team to help the team achieve it. The French international won the club's player of the month award for November, but wants a major trophy at the end of the season to truly celebrate.
After joining the Gunners in 2006 from Chelsea, Gallas wants to see what it would be like to win some silverware with the London outfit.
“What I have tried to do this season is give my best personally and to hopefully bring a trophy to the club," he told the club's official website.
"I think it is very important for a Club like Arsenal and for the players to win something this year.”
Gallas then praised the Arsenal supporters and stated that if they continue to drive the team forward then it will help in their bid for success.
“Without the fans you can’t do anything,” he continued. “The fans, they are the 12th man. When we don’t play well or when we are tired we need their support and since the start they have been behind us all the time.
“They have to continue this because the season is long. Maybe we will be tired but if they are behind us then we will give everything. I hope at the end everyone will be happy.”
