It is touch and go as to whether or no van Persie will be in action for the hectic Christmas schedule and he is almost certain to miss the North London derby with Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, December 22.
"He will be out two or three more weeks," Wenger confirmed. "There is still pain. He is not close and has no chance at all for next week."
That means Van persie will miss Wednesday's trip to Newcastle, Saturday's trek to Middlesbrough and next Tuesday's Champions League game at home to Steaua Bucharest at the very least.
This is madnesssss!
