Extracted from theVoice:FOOTBALL legend Pele has paid tribute to Arsenal's Young Guns. The Premier League leaders' slick passing game has been a revelation this season, drawing praise from all quarters, and now the man regarded as the finest player of all time has rubber-stamped Arsenal's unique brand of football.
The Brazil legend, who won three World Cups, said: Arsenal are my favourite team right now and I think they are the best performing team in the Premier League."
Pele's comments follow hot on the heels of comments made by Dave Kitson's whose Reading side were recently beaten 3-1 by Arsenal.
Many have likened Arsenal's style to that of the flamboyant Brazil sides of the past and a recent foe would appear to agree.
Kitson said: "They are without doubt the best footballing team on the planet right now. It's absolutely phenomenal stuff.
"The thing that amazes you most is they are not just passing to each other - they are passing so that person can run on to the ball and then his mind is already made up with what he is going to do next.
"What I would say about Arsenal is they are not reliant on one, two, three even four people. They all kind of chip in, and I thought they had another couple of gears to go."
unbeatenGoing into this weekend's fixture against Wigan, Arsenal remain unbeaten in the Premier League a record that stretches 27 matches. The team's last defeat in all competitions was against West Ham in April.
Arsenal's cosmopolitan make-up has drawn criticism from many within the game. The north London outfit call upon players from around the world; amongst their number are players that hail from France, Togo and the Ivory Coast.
During their success against Reading, Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor (pictured) scored the club's 1,000th top flight goal and many now consider Arsene Wenger's team to be genuine title contenders after three seasons of underachievement.
