*Fabregas to miss visit of Wigan on Saturday*
When the domestic season resumes on Saturday, a suspension will force the hand of Arsène Wenger for only the second time this season.
Cesc Fabregas picked up his fifth yellow card of the campaign against Reading, adding to those received against Portsmouth, Bolton, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Under FA rules, the Spaniard is automatically ruled out of the Premier League clash against struggling Wigan at Emirates Stadium.
Fabregas' ban is the exception rather than the rule for Arsenal this season, illustrating that their rise to the top of the table has been achieved in a fair and just manner.
Fabregas' midfield partner Mathieu Flamini (three bookings) and striker Eduardo (two) are the only other players to have amassed more than one caution. Philippe Senderos remains the only player to have been dismissed, against Portsmouth.

Arsenal star Mathieu Flamini has suffered an injury and did not take part in Les BleusÂ’ last training session.
The GunnersÂ’ manager Arsene Wenger will now be waiting for news on his midfielderÂ’s fitness.
'The French Gattuso', as he is dubbed by his team-mates, has been a key player for the London side this season, and relegated former vice-captain Gilberto to the substitute bench with his form.
Flamini made his international debut last Friday in the 2-2 draw against Morocco at Stade de France, appearing for the nine last minutes of the game.
Les Bleus manager Raymond Domenech has revealed that the midfielder and Lilian Thuram did not take part of SundayÂ’s training session.
Experienced Thuram has been rested, whereas Flamini 'suffered a little something', Domenech said without explaining the extent of his injury.

Arsene Wenger is already without midfielder Cesc Fabregas for The Premier League clash with Wigan at the weekend due to suspension, and could also lose another starter.
Lassana Diarra and Gilberto could be called in by Wenger, as Abou Diaby also injured himself with the France Under-21 team. -
Arsenal lose Hleb for three weeks
Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb is set to be sidelined for three weeks after damaging a hamstring while on international duty with Belarus.
The 26-year-old picked up the injury during the 2-1 Euro 2008 qualifying victory over Holland on Wednesday.
Hleb, who has been in fine form, will miss the visit of Wigan on Saturday and is likely to be ruled out of Arsenal's two remaining Champions League games.
"He will be out for 21 days," boss Arsene Wenger told the club's website.
Hleb, who has played a key role in Arsenal's rise to the top of the Premier League table, will also miss away games at Aston Villa, Newcastle and Middlesbrough.
Wenger is short of midfield options for the visit of managerless Wigan with Mathieu Flamini (thigh), Cesc Fabregas (suspended), Abou Diaby (back) and Gilberto (fatigue) all unavailable.
Defender Philippe Senderos returns but striker Robin van Persie's has not yet recovered from a knee injury sustained on international duty with Holland in October.
"Hleb came back with a hamstring injury," added the Arsenal boss, who has long been frustrated by his players returning from international duty with injuries.
"So once again we lose someone during this period." -
