Cesc Fabregas insists the Arsenal squad are united in their trust of goalkeeper Manuel Almunia.
Former Gunners No.1 Jens Lehmann lost his place in Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger's first-team to Almunia after the third game of the season.
Lehmann has been critical of his shot-stopping rival in the past claiming "he has not won important matches", but Fabregas is adamant Almunia is supported.
The Spanish midfielder has starred for Arsenal this season and has also given his backing to Almunia ahead of the table-topping Premier League clash with Manchester United at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
"We feel very secure when Manuel is between the posts," Fabregas told The Sun.
"The only thing I can say is, right now, Almunia is doing very well.
"I've known him for three years and I know what he is capable of. But we'll see what happens and if the coach will decide to bring back Jens."
but you know, when lehmann comes up with important matches, he doesnt lose concentration like he does against weaker teams. he just steps up his performance and makes amazing saves
