If a team pass very well and hold possession and attack frequently and missed many chances, i think that is not called deserved to win. Such a team deserved to lose if they play like that simply because they fail to convert their opportunities.. saying teams deserve to win is just a commercial strategy to invoke viewers feelings and make viewer think likewise too. -

'Arsenal Were The Better Side' Says Reina
Arsenal dominated the first half, but found themselves behind at the break thanks to a sixth minute free-kick from Steven Gerrard.
The Gunners kept chipping away at their lead and finally got back on level terms after 80 minutes, Cesc Fabregas capping off a fine display with his tenth goal of the season.
Reina admitted that Arsenal were the better team and revealed his relief at having gained a point from the match.
"I think it is a point gained because they were the better side," admitted Reina.
“We tried to fight and to keep our level as high as we could but they were one of the best sides I have ever played against.
"They were brilliant, but I think we had some chances as well. We probably didnÂ’t deserve to win but we didnÂ’t deserve to lose, either."
But unfortunately for the Reds, it might prove to be an afternoon to forget as both Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso suffered aggravations of their respective injuries, on their return to first team action.
"The injuries are a big problem," said Reina.
"We have had far too many in the last few months. Now we have another injury to Fernando and another to Xabi – it’s a pain in the backside.
“When important players are recovering and coming back into the side and then they get injured again it is always difficult.
“But we must keep fighting.”
