Pires rules out Prem return

Former Arsenal star Robert Pires has revealed he will never play again in The Premier League.
The 33-year-old is enjoying a good start to the new Liga season with Villarreal and he is one of the key players at El Madrigal.
The France international enjoyed seven top-class seasons at Highbury as he helped The Gunners to win two Premier League titles, the FA Cup and to reach the Champions League final.
The veteran has declared he will never play for another club in the English top flight before he finishes his exceptional career.
“For me, English football is Arsenal or nothing,” he told Foot Anglais 365. “So I will never play in England again.”
Pires has also revealed his favourite English player is Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard.
“He can do everything,” he added. “He is very involved, technically very good and very precise in front of goal.
“To my mind he is the most consistent English player.”

His link up with Henry is fantastic, and he score many goals.
I remember his trademark is cutting in from the left midfield and curling into the far post.

What a waste.... this guy was quite a talent. Still is, but at that age asking him to come back and start over is a bit hard on him. Guess he just doesn't want to be going into the Away dressing room at the New Emirates Stadium anyway.

hopefully one day we can gather all the Arsenal Legends like Pires, Henry, Bergkamp, Overmars, Vieira, Campbell, Adams, Wright to play together in Henry's farewell match.

Pires as far as my concern is one of greatest winger Arsenal had. i cant find currently right now anyone can be as good as him.

he is the 1 player which i din sell frm arsenal other den henry on my cm 03/04 game. -

Pires is great and is a better winger than ryan giggs in my opinion.
Unfortunately, i think ryan giggs has better fitness and has longer staying power. -

Rosicky is as good as pires..only tt rosicky has to play in a position he's not used to. -
no offence to rosicky but i feel pires was way more penetrative then him. at his best he was arsenal's finisher of rebounds (henry never scores from rebounds) and passes effectively. stuff like diving at critical moments also endeared him to me lol. but rosicky is improving this season, we haven't seen the best of him yet, pires too had a difficult first season but impressive what happened next.
my memory of rosicky is him and ronaldo sprinting down the left flank as man u counter attacked. i was like omg rosicky omg
eh lame i am a young fan leh. now i start to miss players like pires ljungberg parlour i feel old. -
