Arsene Wenger says that winning the Premier League is Arsenal's main challenge this season.
The Frenchman insists that the domestic title is more important than success in the UEFA Champions League.
Wenger is less than convinced by the credibility of the Champions League, claiming the Premier League is harder to achieve.
Over-rated
He said: "Is that bigger than the championship? I am not sure. How many games do you need to win it?
"It's a cup game and is not a championship. The team who wins over the 38 games is the best team. Was AC Milan the best team in Europe last year? I am not convinced.
"It becomes so difficult in the championship and a lot of teams do not turn up to the Champions League."
Achievements
Wenger's decade in charge at Arsenal has seen them win both the Premier League title and FA Cup, but he would love to add the Champions League to his achievements.
He said: "I want this club to win the Champions League, but for my personal ego it is less important.
"I was interested in it 10 years ago, but a lot less now. You want to win it for different reasons.
"I feel a manager should be judged more on his overall career than just winning one trophy."
i hope arsenal win it this season.
with chelsea down, this is a good time.
if he want i think we can win the UCL cup too.
frankly speaking, competing in UCL is a matter of LUCK! if u r lucky, u will match up wif small clubs, n u will advance and reward further wif winning bonuses. so alot of clubs will rather focus on ucl which prize money is much attractive. wat give if u r the ucl champion when u r not even be the champion in ur country?
but BPL is different becos u need to be consistency in order to win.
yeah. 3 teams become 2 teams fighting now
