Arsenal full-back Gael Clichy has admitted that he is desperate for a call-up to the French national side.
Clichy has represented his country at Under 21 level but has yet to be called upon to represent France on the senior stage.
In February he was given a glimmer of hope when he was provisionally selected for the France squad, but ultimately he was not called upon for the final selection.
The 22-year-old has blossomed at left-back for The Gunners, and last season was arguably one of Arsenal's most consistent performers.
Clichy has admitted that he is waiting for an indication from France coach Raymond Domenech that he is in his thoughts.
"I won't lie, I am waiting for a sign. I am working so hard, but also focused on keeping my position in the Arsenal team," he told L'Equipe.
