*Usmanov plans 'blocking stake'*
Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov has revealed that he intends to buy a 'blocking stake' in Arsenal. On Tuesday, Usmanov increased his shareholding in Arsenal after his investment company Red and White Holdings Limited raised their stake in the club to 21 per cent.
The purchase made Usmanov's company the club's second-highest shareholder behind Danny Fiszman, who has 24%.
Should Usmanov reach a 29.9% stake holding in the club then he would be in a position to make a takeover offer.
DifficultUsmanov explained that he plans to increase his stake, and he also believes that shares in Arsenal are significantly undervalued.
"I want a position (in Arsenal) that would allow me to have a blocking stake and then wait for its value to rise," he told Ekho Moskvy radio.
"They (the shares) have a 50 to 100% growth potential."
A 'blocking stake' would be a stake high enough to make the corporate running of the club more difficult to carry out without a certain amount of shareholder backing.
Oh shyt.. Are we gonna be Arski real soon?
