Jens Lehmann is determined to be remembered as a successful goalkeeper rather than for his fiery personality.
Arsene Wenger has built up a squad of talented young players at Arsenal and Lehmann admits he has dished out plenty of advice in his role as a senior figure.
Lehmann has now called on his team-mates to fulfil their potential and go on to win lots of silverware over the next few seasons.
"They have to deliver and I have to deliver," Lehmann said in an interview with the Arsenal Opus, published in the Daily Mail.
"Sometimes when I'm telling them things it's up to them whether they, first, listen and, second, agree.
"I don't want to be famous for yelling at them from my six-yard box but sometimes you have to do that as a keeper."
More protective
The German goalkeeper's eccentricities have made it hard for him to stay out the media spotlight throughout his Arsenal career.
He has developed a reputation for being quite temperamental but he insists he has always been in control of his actions.
"If you have noticed, I never lose it completely," he said.
"I do admit I get into trouble a lot. This was because when I first came to England everybody was laughing about my style.
"Now I see other goalkeepers copying my style. Fortunately, the referees are more protective now so fouls on keepers are more rare."
