Arsenal may be without Jens Lehmann's services for Saturday's north London derby with Tottenham after the Germany international suffered a reaction to his elbow injury.
The 37-year-old will not be risked by Germany boss Joachim Low for Wednesday's friendly against Romania in Cologne after the problem resurfaced in Saturday's 2-0 win against Wales.
Low said: "Jens had a problem before the game, and even more so afterwards, so he can rest for the next two or three days.
"I have also got to think about the players who will be playing regularly in midweek in September and October, those in the Champions League and UEFA Cup.
"They will also be rested, or given only 45 minutes."
Lehmann has not played for Arsene Wenger's side since the 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers over three weeks ago, with Manuel Almunia featuring in the Gunners' last three matches.
