rsenal captain William Gallas is hoping to be fit in time to face Tottenham on Saturday after confirming that his recovery from injury is “going well”.
The 30-year-old former Chelsea defender has missed The GunnersÂ’ last two games with a groin strain, but is making strides in his return to fitness after originally being told he would be out for three weeks.
Gallas was included in the France squads to play Italy and Scotland in Les BleusÂ’ Euro 2008 qualifiers, but did not feature against the Azzurri in SaturdayÂ’s 0-0 draw.
Despite his omission from Raymond DomenechÂ’s team Gallas is geared up for a return to action at White Hart Lane.
"My recovery is going well,” he said. “I am working very hard to get back with all the rest of the players.
"Sometimes it's difficult to accept being injured, and watching the game last Saturday was tough for me. I was in the stand when I wanted to be on the pitch. I want to be back in action as soon as possible."
Yeah arsenal really needs him nw now taht senderos is suspended. gilberto isnt fit to play as a CB.
