EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR could miss six games for Arsenal in the New Year after declaring he wants to play for Togo again.
The striker, 23, has not represented his homeland since March after a row over bonuses.
But he has backtracked and now wants to play in next monthÂ’s crucial African Nations Cup qualifier against Mali. Togo must win to make the finals in Ghana.
Adebayor could miss four Premier League ties and the FA Cup fourth round and Carling Cup semi-finals if Arsenal are still involved.
He said: “Just because I missed the last two games it didn’t mean I had quit international football.
“Togo need me and I love my country.”
