If Eduardo sticks to his previous form then he could be ready to “explode” for Arsenal.
The Croatia striker has made a relatively quiet start to his Emirates Stadium career since moving from Dinamo Zagreb in July. He has started two games, come off the bench in another two and notched his first goal against Sparta Prague last week.
An opening goal is a fillip for any forward and his manager has been told the 24-year-old has a tendency to start slowly and then make giant leaps forward.
“[Croatia manager] Slavan Bilic told me that in his first two or three games for the national team Eduardo was a bit inhibited then he suddenly exploded,” said Wenger.
“Like every striker who comes in he feels he has to score goals.
“You saw him play on the left against Sparta and you can tell he was very lively. He made one and scored one himself.
"For me Eduardo is a fantastic player.”
