Arsenal midfielder Tomas Rosicky insists the club are looking to win the UEFA Champions League this season - but admits they must become more clinical in front of goal.
Rosicky opened the scoring as Arsenal claimed a 3-0 victory over Sparta Prague at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, completing a 5-0 aggregate win.
But, while Arsenal have taken their chances in those games, it has been a different story in the Premier League, and Rosicky concedes it is something the side must work on.
"There (in the Premier League), we are clearly outplaying our opponents," he told CTK. "We are making plenty of chances, but we are not scoring goals.
"It was different with Sparta, though. We did not have many chances, but we managed to score from them.
"We need to become more effective in front of goal in both competitions.
"It is no secret that Arsenal and the manager would like to complete the collection of silverware with the Champions League, and this season is no different, but only in the next games will we see how far we can go."
Nostalgia
Rosicky admitted it was 'strange' to score against Sparta Prague, having played for the side before moving to Germany.
"As you saw, I did not celebrate it much. It was a strange goal.
"The first game in Prague had already been strange for me, but I felt a little better at the Emirates.
"Perhaps, as I am getting older, I am more nostalgic."
Nostalgic? lmao.
