Ice is the street name for methamphetamine hydrochloride, which comes in a crystallised form and is odourless and colourless, hence the name "Ice".
Ice abusers become mentally dependent on the drug and prolonged use can lead to inflammation of the heart muscle and even death.
Penalties
Illegal traffic, import or export of 'Ice' of more than 250 grams - DEATH.
Possession and consumption of 'Ice' - Up to S$20,000 fine or 10 years imprisonment or BOTH. -

made with volatile chemicals, cooks have been known to blow themselves sky high as the chemicals explode...

The early use is actually for medical purposes, without much side effects. It is mostly for hay fever sufferers.
It is not until WWII when the abuse starts.
The injectable form was discovered before it was abused, and WWII accelerated the abuse... -
