1) You have to prepare for a date, but there is no electricity, and you have nothing but a one single match. You have to light your oil lamp, heat your bath (using pieces of wood), and light a fire in order to prepare some food (in the fireplace).
What are you going to light first? (Solved by Da Dood)

3) It is rainy outside and three friends meet.
They leave their umbrellas in a stand.
What is the

4) Listen carefully. A tennis ball has rolled its
way into a hole. The hole is very deep and has a
sharp bend in the middle, so it is impossible to retrieve the ball
by hand. The ground around is made of very hard clay, so it is also
not possible to dig it out. However, you have something incredibly
commonplace to help you get the ball out.
What is
it? (Solved by Drifting Guy

One puzzle for the day.
Five swimmers (George, Peter, Robert, Mathew, and John) have
been preparing for a competition. The five swimmers each compete in
the four different strokes (backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly,
and freestyle). The top three finishers in each event will qualify
for the finals in that stroke.
1) Only one contestant qualified in all four strokes.
2) No contestant finished last in more than one event.
3) Peter finished better than Mathew in the butterfly.
4) George finished better in the backstroke than he did in the
butterfly.
5) George finished just behind Peter and just ahead of John in the
breaststroke.
6) Mathew finished just ahead of Robert in the freestyle.
7) John's finish in the backstroke was the same as Mathew's in the
butterfly.
8) Mathew only finished in the same position in the backstroke and
the freestyle..
79) Neither Peter nor John finished third in any event.
10) Robert finished in a different position in each event.
11) Peter finished only two events in the same position.
12) The contestant who finished first in the freestyle did not
qualify in the backstroke.
13) The contestant who finished second in the butterfly beat Mathew
in the freestyle.
14) The contestant who finished fifth in the backstroke did not
finish third in the butterfly.
15) No contestant finished in the same position in both the
breaststroke and the butterfly.
Using the
following clues, determine the order of finish in each of the four
strokes.

9) Someone broke your window. There are four children playing near it, so
only one of them could have broken it. You know that the kid who broke
it is lying, but you do not know how many of the others are lying too.
A: "Not me! I didn't break a thing!"
B: "OK, I'll tell the truth. It was me. I broke it."
C: "Don't be mad at A! He didn't do anything!"
D: "B didn't break the glass, I swear."
Who broke it?
10)A boy rolls a die. Each time it stops rolling, he writes something
down. Each time he rolls one, he writes down "15". Each time he rolls
six, he writes down "20". He just rolled three.
What is he going to write down?

9) Someone broke your window. There are four children playing
near it, so only one of them could have broken
it. You know that
the kid who broke it is lying, but you do not
know how many of the
others are lying too.
A: "Not me! I didn't break a thing!"
B: "OK, I'll tell the truth. It was me. I broke
it."
C: "Don't be mad at A! He didn't do anything!"
D: "B didn't break the glass, I swear."
B: If He broke it and he says he broke it then B is telling the truth. So B is out.
D: If B didn't Break the glass and D says B didn't break the glass. Then D is also telling the truth. So D is out.
Now we left A and C:
Assuming C was the one who broke it.
C: C says A didn't break it. (And we know the person who broke it is lying - Contradiction)
Therefore. A is the one who broke it.
Now for fun
Assuming A was the one who broke it.
A said he didnt break it. (Lying) C says a didn't break it (Lying) and No Contradiction.
Shoo challenging.

9: Since we know that the person who broke it was lying, so B must be lying as if he broke the glass, then he is telling the truth. Now, For A and C, I believe both of them are lying as well since both A & C claims A did not broke the glass. Therefore I guess it is either both A & C broke the glass, if not then it is D, becoz D's statement contradicates everything.
