Seriously, the only way to curb this problem now is for all the supermarkets to take actions against thosr selfish and inconsiderate people. NTUC Fairprice's soft education approach is a complete failure with no positive results. It can be a $50 fine for first time caught offenders, $100 for second time caught and prosecution for third time and beyond.
Only when the possiblity of facing fines or even prosecution it will deter most if not all of them to do such inconsiderate acts which affects other shoppers.

I would lke to suggest (foc suggestion) to all the supermarkets.
Presently, pple put in $1, that is nothing for the people.
Increase the slot money to $5.
That will make the people think twice before discarding any trolley.
