Usage your moblie phones at the speakers would not allow you to record the announcements unless you set voice recording mode and start the recording.

But how does that even can take place? By some staff who wished to leave the job do their last artistic work? If not which Singaporean would have such courage and bo liaoness to graftti a train?
Or could it be --- just another form of advertisement. Singapore is not never seen weird ads before, including the cows on the grasspads by Comfort Delgro.

Why would advertisers
1. Only do one side and only one carriage -- Inconsistancy
2. Use graffiti without any company name
3. Use spray cans to advertise instead of the usual stickers. Also spraying onto the metal and rubber portion -- Advertisment on non-advertisment spot [EDIT] Also spraying on the livery, have you seen one full exterior advert on the livery? [/EDIT]

Because, they want to seek attention. See, we all want to catch the train by tomorrow. Out of so many train with advert, we want to see the 047/048 the most. Attention gotten.
In the case of really graffti, I doubt it can be done at any of the stations due to the crowd may just pin him / her / report to staff etc (And even in non-peak hour time, such as late nights would have been caught by the CSO downstairs easily as they the staff are too bo liao and watch CCTV then) and thus it should be some internal acts. Most likely, it could be one of the TO who had involved in a suicide incident happened recently or whatever (Maybe X years ago, but recent tradgedy struck on this TO's friend again makes him / her thought of it at another station.... and wished to quit it but doing in a "creative way".

This graffiti train should be in EWL. I mostly see 047/048 in EWL nowadays.

Hi, I find it easy for someone who is very "strong" to climb over the fences at the depots.

Are you sure, the roads there are not easy to go (It is not like on the side of a main road) and I did attempt to see how to exit the depot during my AMK bound stunt without getting caught, but failed (Went into BSD but did not exit without getting caught since I was shown in the CCTVs).

But dun put ur phones too close, or there is a certain vibrating effect. And best is judge the timing as best as possible, i spent abt 40s to get the JUR announcement just bcos the T.O. played it late, LOL -

Formerly called "ATAS" (Automatic Trainborne Announcement System) it is an equipment that announces station names as the train enters the station platform. "ATAS" broadcasts pre-recorded messages over the train P.A. systems.

Actually u meant "Formally", otherwise what is the new term for ATAS?
By the way, there are times where TO make announcements, this is when the train is converting to a DNB (Be it a depot bound or proceed to forward slidings) and there is a TO manual message on top of ATAS message.

It has been integrated with STARIS as the latter.
Those are manual announcements made by the TO itself.

However the weirdest thing from ATAS / STARS is that they make weird announcements on the middle of the track (Usually on the slidings, DNB)

ATAS calculates the distance from the stop point, hence the miscalculations.
