Firstly, my co-moderator, this phenomenon is not restrictive to SINGAPOREAN girls only.
Neither does it only occurs amongst GIRLS. Men are known to go after women who are not too kind as well.
Thus, the thread topic is rather biased and partial to the subjects involved to begin with.
Yet for the sake of supporting this forum, my guess is we've all been too exposed to the media and stereotypes depicted uncreatively but sensationally in the movies or dramas via the-good-girls-with-bad-guys plots.
Another guess is that there's much more innate goodness in women to be more willing to see the positive traits in people and thus, more reports of such ladies being manipulated by crafty men in the media. But, this opinion is too feministic to be taken seriously. Some polite others term this tendency as the motherly instincts in the females to take care of the wayward males. Again, these cases are far and few. There are only a rare masochistic few who'd put up with ill treatments over the long run without giving up.
More realistically, many women are still choosing the kinder men who love and respect them. Vice versa.
