Friendster vs MySpace

It's been a number of years since the introduction of both now. Yet why do most of the Singaporeans stick to Friendster, while my friends overseas use MySpace exclusively?
I'm sure some of you use both websites, so let it be known!
And which account do you pay more attention to?
P.S. I need help. I still don't know how to change the appearance of my MySpace profile without fumbling it. Thanks. -

Myspace is easy to customize if you know HTML coding.
Friendster is easy to customize because everything is point and click, good for lazy people like us.

don't know about MySpace....Google has a lot on skins, layouts, templates, codes, etc. for MySpace. -
someone got ask this qn on another forum i go to......interestingly, most asians know both sites while most non-asians dunno friendster only know myspace...dunno why.....
myspace started out more like a site for indie bands to showcase themselves...maybe ppl at first dun see it like a social networking site....
