Do all tds avoid jurong island?
Seems like some older cabbies dislike the idea of surge pricing.
Is it necessary to check engine oil level and top up coolant? Or usually tds leave the tasks to mechanics during vehicle servicing?
How does tds know when to change new tyres? can they request to change new tyres whenever they like? Or mechanics will decide?
What's the payment mode for refill diesel? Cash? Nets? Visa? All accepted?
Only one standard type of diesel? how to differentiate diesel and petrol row when queuing for refill?

Hearsay comfort car servicing takes 3 hours and SMRT takes only one hour. Seems like SMRT more efficient.

if you are new, i suggest you don't drive for comfort.
they don't allow you to have accident for first 6 months and no complain from pax whatever.

you can go ahead to drive for comfort, if you don't believe
For newbies driving taxi 1st time, suggest to drive for SMRT instead of cumfuk. SMRT more human. that's why they call their drivers partners....for a reason one.
Cumfuk is more for drivers who are submissive, willing to get fcked by their cumfuk operators.
SMRT operators are more understanding.
Originally posted by bowah:cdg and smrt are actually the same shareholders, just different business entity only, so whether you join cdg or smrt, it goes to the same pocket.
Cdg is not say not human, it is more of go by the strict rules, no chance given kind of management.
And most who are driving for smrt, TC, etc, majority are trained from cdg until kenna lim kopi, so in a way, there lies the hatre and dislike, understandable.
So, in fact as a newbie, in term of taxi, you should join cdg first, it is like army 3 months recruit, thereafter, you get posted out, once you gone thru the basic strict rules of cdg, there is no problem for you to fit into any other taxi companies.
And then at the end of the day, which ever companies or apps you join is not the key issue, the key issue will be “Can make money or not?”.
Today you got Uber and Grab to choose, tia kong their net income per month is $6000. Still drive smlj taxis?
I believe some tds stick with their company to avoid hassle unless a big difference in rental costs
