Cdg needs to invest on apps, even if they dont know what to do, by now should already know what others are offering. Next is the cost of rental. They need to bite the bullet and directly reduce the rental not do lppl scheme like 25cj, ask sonata hirer change used i40. Telling hirer give them $10 discount each day then increase the rental 20%. Obviously, taxi campany still living in the old days mindset on the rental charge. Look at smrt taxi share scheme. They offer good rates at off peak hours so many takers but for peak and midnight rates just dont make sense and few taker. Something is seriously wrong, when there is riders demand for taxi, taxi still idle in car park not rented out. I’m sure they would soon realise the situation and revised the rates for peak hours and midnight rates. It is time to face the real world and take serious action to address them. Not make decision based on imagination.
simplify or not, as long as it can bring back the fares and pax numbers will do..
the surge component will be good for us to compete on a fair level when the demand is really high, peak hour, raining, etc, otherwise little incentive for drivers to me OTR
Read an article. Businessmen always try ways to earn more.. Tds chooses pax destinations during peak hrs are also trying to maximize their profits. Afterall tds are considered running own business. Really can't blame them for doing that.

Might as well employ a young chap like Grab and remove all these jia liao bee Ceos, MDs, GMs, DRO, PRO< ...really waste of money, and when you remove all these, your cost of operation will be down, and you can then put your rental of taxis down, and thereby attract drivers.
Uncle me lim 2 bottle of ABC stouts still think better than you all these top taxi companies’ executives, all these should be executed
Grabtaxi promo from today till 24th feb. 6am to 8am $6 off. 11am to 11pm $5 off. Ho seh ho seh!

Cdg for the past year had come out with these and that schemes, but nothing works, and some of the scheme, they only said said only…many start to talk loud about it, end up nothing works, some did not even started and worst, many wrong informations and loud speakers even from their own staffs.
Therefore, cdg credibility is going down, last time, they talk, the industrial move, earthquaked…today, they talk…who listen anymore?? they cannot even create a wave like East Coast sea
But do u think removing peak surcharges will overall benefit tds? I personally dun think so.
It is a question of who can tarhan longer lor.. PHVs still got money to burn. CDG waiting for them to burn out their money.
Certain surcharges should be reviewed like location surcharge. They are to be activated only when there is a surge e.g. Gardens by the Bay during Christmas, New Year etc when there are events or during peak like Saturdays/Sundays 3pm to 9pm etc. No point having $3 surcharge 24/7 even when there are very little ppl taking taxis there at 8am..
CBD surcharge can be removed after 8pm to encourage ppl to take cabs. But they can be activated when there is a surge e.g. during CNY in Chinatown, Christmas at Taka etc.
Last Sat night, Guns & Roses concert at CEC, made two trips there. Took about 2 hours. Total fare $100 cos of $10 location surcharge. Shiok.
How come got $10 location surcharge leh? Due to surge? Pax must book through cdg apps izzit?
How are tds alerted abt this last min $10 location surcharge?
Are pax pre-informed abt the $10 surcharge before they board the cab?

$10 surcharge where got last minute one? The concert website got put. Taxi companies got inform drivers. I believe the taxi stand there oso got put notice.
But the pax I took all dunno got $10 surcharge. When I told them, they all okay one. Cos getting out of that messy place is most important to them.
Oic...
Heard that got pax take phv after that concert to jurong and fare was more than $200.
Btw, does td normally input location surcharge at the end of trip? Will tends to forget?
