  once my lecturer asked one of the students in class whether he sure he will do well in this course, since only 4% pass the course
  
  my classmate tio stunned
  
  then he write out the full figures

  hmm i thoguht the high distinction etc was the percentage of passes that got the various grades. maybe i intepretated it wrogly?

  He meant 4% wil have normal pass only.. and there r other ppl who will technically pass...but with distinction, etc.
