Calling frens once u reached home?

ok, i dont have a practice of informing my frens i reached home when i did
well, in my years of growing up, we dont seems to have such practice
so, to my pleasant surprise of cuz, i just reached home after an outing with my godbro, he called me on my handphone and said 'kor, i reached home liao'
i quizzed him, and he said its a common practice among his frens
do u guys do it too?

sometimes it's late and we jus had an all-girls nite out
we would SMS one another to report tt we have reached home safely -
most of the time i m the last to reach home...wanna hit the bed leow cant think much...where got time to call...

depending on who's with me.... like last time la kopi.. cos ah chiobu is the last person to see me.. so i'd msg him lor... so that when others saw him online n not me, at least they'd get to know i'm safely back at home

to ah nel, dun really have to give him a call or sth... just that if i'm not home by the time he called, chances are, he'd say i lost my way in the concrete jungle again
