Here's an Indian meal for one designed to make your stomach explode. Just look at the size of that naan - it's bigger than my face!

I hope you are not trying to say you face is bigger than the pot of gravy, smaller than the naan... ;p

that's huge!
Where did you get that from?
probably when kb was in the UK recently .... that's an ang moh sized portion ....
but ..... if he got it here ... I'm very, very very interested ....

No, but on a bad day my face is almost as long as the vessel is wide.
And indeed it's British - balti + peshwari naan + lassi.
UK portions are huge...even the single meals (eg noodles, rice) at chinese restaurants
well ... ang moh portions are huge, anywhere ....
now if they'll just make a prata that big .....
i can just eat one, instead of my usual four ...
Speaking of that, I ate at Ruyi this afternoon. It's the closest thing we have to Chinese take-out, but it's pricey (fried rice, noodle sets etc starting from $6) and won't fill Fatum up. It's only worthwhile if it's after hours (it's 24 hours) or if you have a voucher.

It's too bad we don't have places that serve colossal-sized dishes like those on Man v Food. Those that do taste icky like the NYNY burger.
It sounds like something I'd do - giant prata and murtabak, satay on barbecue skewers, a bucket of tau huay or enough ice-kachang to fill a basin - and Singapore will shoot its way up the obesity rankings.
GIANT KABAB ON PITA BREAD~~~~~

Ang moh portions are huge.
But then again, so are ang mohs themselves.
By the way, a single prata kosong has about 220 calories. 4 x prata kosong with curry is easily 1000 calories. And if you consider that ghee is laden with trans fat....
I should hv taken pics of the monk fish tail I ate at Prive

I treated to Midge Ure (guy from ultravox) and his band members at Little India. (they are very nice pple)...
There were about 5 of us..and I paid about $20 niah...
All of them exclaimed: S$20 only?, it's not enough to feed any one of them in UK!! ....
and they were so happy that they dragged me back there to eat again on next day...and this time their treat, and they can really eat!!!!!!!!!!!... -.-""

Real ghee is made from butter, so it doesn't have the bad trans fat that comes with margarine, shortenin and vegetable ghee. Then again I never looked closely at what they're actually using.

The problem is that people still see 'vegetable ghee' = 'vegetable' = healthy.
And quite a few prata men use Planta margarine, seeing it as 'healthier' than ghee.
Blame it on the 90s, when all we knew then was 'saturated fat = bad' and 'unsaturated fat = good'.
Now trying to tell people that 'some unsaturated fats are trans fats = very bad' is a hard sell.
