@Ditzy: I had DTF @ other outlets b4 but they were quite disappointing... Nv tried DTF@Nex b4... maybe nex outlet better quality...

a bad experience at one of the food establishment along east coast road.. Melaka Celup/Malacca Celup..
3 friends’ Groupons vouchers ( indicated 50% of the usual price, they paid $10.40each, with no seafood/prawn served), was in fact, incorrect advertising/promotion. The price with seafood/prawns, was $17.70/pax for wekend. Groupons please take note..
With no groupons voucher, I paid a Full Price Seafood/Prawns Buffet price for dinner. After waited for a long time, some ordinary food and a few prawns of index-finger-sized were finally served.
One staff approacehd me and questioned: why did I ordered more prawns? Verified that I paid for the FULL PRICE BUFFET, he mentioned that he will serve the food.
A while later, another staff appeared and informed me "softly" : we have NO MORE PRAWNS. we cannot serve prawns. He came up with a lame answer : The restaurant has served the lunch and early dinner crowd. They have used up all the prawns. It was 8pm. and the restaurant is not even filled up. They cannot do anything.
We observed that they were accepting new walk in customers who pay full fare seafood/prawns buffet price. They brought prawns!!! to be given 5 prawns for 2pax.
Hey they do have prawns on hand!
Only then the customers learnt that they have been shortchanged, angrily walked out of the restaurant. Many customers were displeased too.
The staff has been apologetic and tried to salvage the situation, obviously embarrassed by their boss Mr Alex (whom none of the staff knows his surname) which was nowhere in sight to handle the situation nor bother to apologise to the customers. (the staff confirmed that he was in the restaurant).
We felt sad for a group of 7 young customers who were forced to a corner seated around a small table and had to share a small cooking pot.
A check with other friends, they encountered really bad experiences. Food was served at the slowest possible timing and they simply let customer WAIT. Many of them has walked out of this place too.
This place was open in April 2011. In all fairness, it had been operating for 3 months. It could have improved their quality and control of freshness/qty of the food.
The celup sauce was unfortunately blend. The food was of a sub-standard qualtiy. Sotong was a tiny piece of 1inch by 1inch/piece serving and when you order 10, they gave 5 max. My friend bit onto a sour-ed luncheon meat which was obviously food turned bad.
We cannot accept food establishment in this case Malacca Celup (Melaka Celup) limiting/shortchanging customers' food servings...Customers paid full price doesn't mean the customers have to accept substandard treatment.

all quite okay.

just hate having to Q

been there about 8 years ago too :D... my supplier ( i was there for work), had to q for 1/2hr in the bitter cold year end weather.. I hid in Watson next door...-.-"
