So.... are Singaporeans banned from pumping fuel, or not?
Anyway, the chicken briyani I bought for lunch just now went up from $3.50 to $4.
Oh well.... at least the uncle didn't reduce the portions.

It's the big guys that I watch with great scrutiny. The sandwiches sold by 7 Eleven, for instance. Less than a year ago, they cost $2.30 each.
Now they cost...... $3.30 each.
I agree that food prices have been rising.... but certainly not by a 50% rise, no?

Speaking of rice, there's a Japanese restaurant that just opened near my place. They specialise in sake but the food's authentic as well. They have their staff yelling out some Japanese welcome to you, just like they do in the Jap restaurants in Singapore.
The dishes you order do not come with rice. You have to order the rice separately at a bloody rip-off price of AUD3.00 for one portion!!!
