i have a blank cd-r disc inside and i am sure because windows ask me what to do with the blank cd-r
but nero asks me to insert the medium to write to as there is no medium in the writer....

-because what you are burning exceeds the space offered by the medium
-because there is a surface error on the medium and is unable to work properly
