"funny"? DO NOT ACCEPT! IT'S A VIRUS!

DO NOT RECEIVE FILE "FUNNY.EXE' FROM ANYONE!!! IT'S A VIRUS!!! IF U KENA, TELL EVERYONE TO IGNORE WHATEVER FILE YOU SEND TO THEM!!! THIS IS NO JOKE!!!
Pasei DA~ I think it's better to let everyone know about this and prevent it from spreading. Duno details about it yet. But please please please dun ever accept this "funny" thingy from anyone.
What happened to me is that my classmate sent it to me (she dinoe about it too)..and I accepted, opened up..and it automatically sent to all my contacts without me knowing as well. And that's the problem...Argh!! -
dont off your comp. once u off it, the virus will prevent u from logging on anymore. i cant even excess my desktop screen. fark sia. ccb.knn. my fren send me bcos she scared to open in end i tio instead of her...fark

in fact do not ever ever accept any attachment ending with .exe no matter what the heading is

I have no prob surfing net, it seems that the virus will come back to live everytime im online. But now i check...everything's ok..cant even detect it now..well...will keep searching and see how... -

spread thru MSN...instant chat..the moment the person goes online...it just caught him/her off guard..send to whoever is online...so if there are 30 contacts online...30 will receive that file..but if he happens to stop in time..perhpas only the first few on the list will get it.. -

u will noe whether u have received the file or not mah...
Go start> Search> then type in 'funny' >Look in: Loacl drives C:, D:
and/or go to start> run> type in 'regedit' >click on my computer, go EDIT> Find "funny.exe" > search...and see if there's any results lor.. -

i tot this virus been around for a long time already ?? But anway, don't accept files from friends on your msn without asking them first what it is.
If your pc infected already, then clean it as soon as possible. Update your anti-virus also. If cannot delete, try TheCleaner. Might be helpful

My fren tried the instructions given on symantec..and said it got his pc worse instead...
should i trust this cleaner?

good time to promote awareness.
before accepting a file, ask what it is. at least this way, u can minimize instances like this, where the user unknowingly sends the file (meaning the virus sends it for you) -

Anyway thanks for the info! Anyway, I read reviews on Symantec/Norton on many websites. Lots of them give the thumb down to Norton/Symantec Anti Virus. Try using other anti virus instead. I myself hate using Norton. -

never ever download abt *.exe and *.com files from MSN, ICQ, Emails etc UNLESS u r confirmed that it is from a TRUSTED SOURCE and it is a SAFE
