Help needed for accessing other machines on network...

  My Win XP laptop is just as dao and isolated like it's owner, firewall all switched off, network wizard ran without a problem, but it just cannot be seen or see other machines on the network connected on the same router. Anybody can help?

  ur XP is SP2? SP2 got built-in firewall that might causes the prob

  Try off Win XP 2 firewall. I have two PC connected through a router. But one of them last time cannot connect to internet cos of it.
