i know but with it i cant find gradient at a given x value nor give the x and y value at any point of the graphOriginally posted by ditzy:MatLab Release 14. But thats cheemology, even for me. I still stick to excel.
i d/l the prog liao but it not like i enter my values into a table then it plots for me.Originally posted by BaByBoY:nv see my post mehz???
its free lehz....
what kind of graph do u want to plot?Originally posted by bismarck:i need a software that can plot graphs (similar to excel) but can give me the gradient of the graph at any part of the graph i point to or select.
plus it must be able to give me the corresponding x and y value at any point of the graph i point to.
plus if i give a x value, it must give me the corresponding y value and vice versa.
thanks
how to explain...Originally posted by SnowFlag:what kind of graph do u want to plot?
Considering this situation you've given. The fastest way for me would be to plot it out on graph paper and find all the values. Serious. I know its stupid and old fashion and yada yada yada. But if none of the software works for me, the fastest, most practical way for me to do is on paper.Originally posted by bismarck:how to explain...
well
first of all, i am given a set of values determine experimentally then from the peak, determine the max and min values. then from a given y value, give me the corresponding x value.
and also when i give x value for example, the software must be able to give me the gradient at that point

At uni level, hand written work is still very much appreciated. No such thing called:"Computer can give nicer graphics lah.", all that excuse, phooey.
Btw, gradient is change of y over change of x.
what are those add-ons called ? i mean i cant type " excel add-ons" on google can i?Originally posted by Ecxentrique:i do not know if there are such software around..
you can try to search for add-ons developed by other users for Excel that may complement and add this rather special function..
alternatively, you may want to see how you can you Excel Visual Basic to create a program within Excel that can help you extract the values that you may need.
just jokingOriginally posted by SnowFlag:another way is to pay me to develop the program for u
