  Steven Taylor could immediately jump into European football after Newcastle United transfer-listed him yesterday.

  The London Evening Standard says Taylor's situation has been monitored for some time by a series of potential suitors, including Liverpool and Chelsea.

  While he has repeatedly stated he wants to play for his home-town club - he stayed last summer to play in the Championship when he might have moved - matters could yet be taken out of his hands.

  He won't be able to play until October anyway. I doubt that it will happen and I don't know what the source of this news is.

  it's not surprising to see pool sign him to just fulfil the HG quota even if he can't play until october.....

  heard it was a club decision to let him go instead of a player decision.
  
  he currently has an injury that will put him off for 2 months.
