Milan Jovanovic was delighted with his Liverpool home debut in their 1-1 draw with Arsenal.
Reds fans took Jovanovic's combative display to their hearts, endearing the attacker for his crunching first half tackle on Gunners defender Bacary Sagna.
When he was replaced after the hour mark for Maxi Rodriguez he earned a rousing applause and now he wants to repay their support with goals as Liverpool take ion Turkish outfit Trabzonspor in the Europa League play-off first leg tonight.
"It felt very special. I am very happy and I'll never, ever forget that day and that moment,' Jovanovic told the club's official website.
"I was very proud. Playing for Liverpool is something special. It's not the same as playing for other clubs.
"I have tried to receive some information from my friends who play in the Turkish championship and they tell me we are playing a very good Turkish team.
"They will try to make a surprise at Anfield, so we have to be careful, we have to concentrate."
