Premier League giants Liverpool are willing to sell midfielder Javier Mascherano to Italian champions Inter, according to a report in the Mirror.
The Argentine international has been heavily linked with a move to the European champions, who are now coached by former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez. Mascherano himself is said to be ready to take the leap to Italy and it's now been reported that Liverpool are willing to listen to offers from Inter.
It has been reported that Mascherano's agent Walter Tamer has been to Milan to open talks with Inter, although the Nerazzurri have not made any announcement on this issue. Liverpool want around £30million for the former West Ham United midfielder but Inter are not prepared to pay more than £20 million.
However, with the 26-year-old refusing to commit his future to Liverpool, the Merseyside club may have to take a step back in this deal.
