Brazilian thought it might be time to pack his bags...
Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has admitted that he thought his days at Anfield might be numbered when Roy Hodgson took over from Rafael Benitez as manager at Anfield.
The Brazilian has been the subject of some pretty intense criticism despite establishing himself as a first-team regular for the Reds.
With change afoot he concedes he was concerned he might be heading for the Anfield exit door.
"Everyone was a bit worried and for me it wasn't different," he told Sky Sports News.
"But now I'm trying to train hard and trying to train well to impress Hodgson. Of course we want to keep going and try to have a better season.
"That's the main thing at the moment."
Now he feels a little more secure, but acknowledges that situations can change quickly in football.
"At the moment no, but if someone said to me that I have to leave I will have to find a club!" he smiled, when asked if he thought he might leave.
"I'm sure they will tell me if I'm not in the plan. At the moment, nobody said anything and I'm just working really hard to get my fitness back and be ready for the beginning of the season.
"I'm already three years at Liverpool and all the time I try to do my best, 100 per cent of course.
"Sometimes things don't happen the way you want, but that's life, that's football and you have to accept that.
"You have to just be strong and keep going and try to do your best all the time."

His days are numbered unless his nanny want to take him back.
Without Ah Ben, the bench will be his buddy from now on.
