Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that the Reds are looking to sign striker Loic Remy from Nice this summer.
Sky Sports now reports that Hodgson is interested in the player, but the Liverpool manager has indicated that he will make a further study of the player.
Hodgson said: "He's a player who was mentioned to me by the scouting department and a player the club were following before I came.
"He's a player I know very little about. If I am going to be interested in a player I am going to have to watch him playing, study him and make judgments, which I have not been able to."
London clubs Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United are also interested in the 23-year-old, but as reported by Goal.com UK earlier on Friday, Remy is expected to fly to Merseyside for his medical tests.
