Athough Wolves drew 2-2 against Crystal Palace on Saturday, expect Mick McCarthy to make many changes for the league game.
Meanwhile, Liverpool haven't played for almost a week, so they should be fresh. They were good against Tottenham at Anfield.
But, away from home with the players manager Rafael Benitez has available right now, I don't think they can create or score chances without Fernando Torres or Yossi Benayoun.
Much will depend on Steven Gerrard's fitness, but I'm plumping for a draw.
Verdict: 1-1 (Mark Lawrenson)
Steven Gerrard has been included in the Liverpool squad for Tuesday night’s Premier League away to Wolves.
The midfielder looks set to make an early return from a hamstring injury that was expected to see him miss two more games for the Reds.
Reds boss Rafa Benitez confirmed, “He was training on Saturday and then a full training session on Sunday, and today was the same.
“Normally he’s someone who, if available, can play. We’ll decide later but I think he can be available. We’ll decide tomorrow.”
Liverpool travel to Wolves this week aiming to build on that superb win over Tottenham last Wednesday. Rafa Benitez’ team may not be playing the most scintillating football in the world but they are picking up results which have catapulted them back into the race for 4th place. The fact that Liverpool have picked up 4 points in the last two league games without both Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard will do wonders for the rest of the team’s confidence for the trip to Molineux .
Wolves’ confidence won’t be high following three successive defeats without scoring a goal which includes a 2-0 defeat at Anfield. The lack of goals will be worrying Mick McCarthy who has a number of strikers in his squad but only one in the shape of Kevin Doyle who has scored more than a single league goal.
Wolves are the lowest scorers in the Premier League with just 17 goals and have failed to score in four of their last five league games. A lack of goals puts added pressure on a defence to maintain a clean-sheet which is something Wolves have only managed two times in 19 league games.
For those of you who are debating whether to back the draw in this one, it’s worth noting that Wolves haven’t drawn any of their last 10 league matches. Liverpool have drawn two of their last four away league matches but with the confidence gained and momentum now building in the right direction, Benitez will surely be aiming for all 3 points.
-Alan Hansen
Lawrenson see Liverpool no up , 1-1 draw for him .
Hansen reverse , he sees a Liverpool away win .
Usually Hansen less accurate , Lawrenson more zhun .

Never see them do it that way this season .
