They won 3-1 .
Rafa's favourite son Lucas scored an own goal . That cemented a famous Villa win at Anfield .

This is an absolutely nailed on draw. Villa boss Martin O'Neill has done a good job but you can't convince me that Villa are anything other than a counter-attacking team. The next step for them is to develop into a side that can break down opponents.
If they take the game to Liverpool then Rafael Benitez's team can get a draw as it will suit them. Liverpool are not playing well enough to get anything other than a point from the game. There have been false dawns for them but even a point would be a step in the right direction after the win over Wolves.

Liverpool no match for Villa @ Villa Park .
Villa will have a clean sheet , all credit will be on their American 'keeper Friedel .
Torroes or no Torres , Gerrard or no Gerrard , no diff .
Villa 2-0 for me .

I was at Emirates Stadium yesterday, watching Arsenal vs Villa live and trust me Villa is all fired up for this game. Liverpool fan I may be, but I got to say Villa to win, at least 3-0.
Liverpool once again with another inept performance will not know what has hit them.

In fact , i dunno .... i thought Rafa's squad of players , other than Yossi Benayoun , i don't know which player can be rated as one with flairs .

We had flair players like Dalglish , Ronnie Whelan , Graeme Souness , Jan Molby , Paul Walsh , Craig Johnston , Peter Bearsley , Ray Houghton , so many of them .
Simple pass , simple thru ball , simple movements , simple tap in .
Liverpool were a really play simple team .
Play Simple and win !!
Now ? A simple game that make it so complicate to play .

It's now complicated huh.. U noe, Liverpool do and can play that style, when they were on song during the first few games of the season. But only with key players le. I think Pacheco has that direct passing style, likable to Gerrard's, Aquilani and Benayoun.
Actually, instead of a certain someone missing from midfield, it has been a certain someone who HAVE been playing in midfield that's causing much distress in the middle of the park for us. He's just too... ordinary, most of the time. Guess who? Starts with L..

Chelsea also needed an own goal to win, means they dun deserve to win? We wanted it more, we did not win in style, we grinded out a win and though Villa did not deserve to lose, luck came to us and we took our chance.

yeah man...hi guys!!! another pool fan here and i have been for 20yrs...sad, i have onli seen them league champions once...but i am glad they won...it was a tough game...do we smell a pool comeback? hmmm...they have been giving us false hopes of late...

Yeah like what some said , it was a 50-50 , anyone can really win .
No luck involve la , for goodness sake .
Everyone on the pitch did farely well to press for a win .
When everyone was thinking it was be a stalemate , how were they wrong !!!
That was a miscue pass really , but went to the right path , a path rarely goes wrong for Torres .
For Villa , it was a moment of lacking of concentration for the full back .
It was a difficult angle to score , but Torres make it with ease .
A game i would say , a well deserve win !!!

For me , I felt it was a defeat. Look at the number of chances Villa had, if they were lucky, we would have lost 2 or 3-1.
