the 2 goals scored were of everton deflection and mistakes. cruel to everton
U cannot commit those mistakes against top teams like Liverpool .
Except for the Liverpool goal keeper, there was no man of the match as they are all playing out of position and not holding the ball and blasting the ball like pin ball.
It was a dismay display.
Everton played with more purpose, possession and team work.
Ah Ben is one lucky cat.
LIVERPOOL TOP TEAM?!
LOL
Reina was excellent when called upon except for that heart stopping moment when he dropped the ball in between his legs. Gerrard was quiet, very quiet. Ngog tried and had some good touches. Benayoun gave a lot more purpose and creativity and energy when he came in. Kuyt as usual was full of running. WHen I saw him chasing down Howard at 80+ minutes, i was thinking what is this guy made of. Either than that, our defence did well enough, not excellent. Johnson was pretty stifled in attack because he has to be careful of Bilyatedinov and Baines.
If you played back the game, all the passes that entered the everton half was either missed or intercepted by a everton player.
There was NIL player up front to hold the ball.
Kuyt and Lucas were missing in most part of the match.
Ngog was running around the field and leaving his position vacant.
Even stevie is out of sort this match.
You can sensed that he was sarcastic about winning the Europa cup.
His standard have dropped with his sub standard team mate.
It is better for him to move to chelsea for the good of England.
Still no sign of aqualiani.. WTF
Not a convincing nor deservable victory but a welcomed 3 points nevertheless.
Gerrard still plays as if he's just underwent a hernia operation, while the rest of his team mates played as if they'd get struck by lightning if they held the ball for more than 2 seconds or tried to dribble past a player with it.
With Riera n Benayoun on, Liverpool's attack looked more natural and decent, but all's left too late.
Yet again another passsenger performance by the Young Lucas, and I won't be surprised if he's dropped as soon as Aquilani gets the green light from the boss.
