Sg Pools offering low low odds of a thrashing.. can Liverpool do it? I have this feeling Birmingham will not be easy cake. They drew with Man City afterall. But a win for us nonetheless.
Prediction: 2-0.
be wary of .. Cameron Jerome he's speedy

btw that guy is actually a rangers' reject... since when rangers r stronger than liverpool? it's nt the balance problem, it's more of the defense becoming short of confidence and form...birmingham cfm will press liverpool until veri jialat jialat, coz' they know liverpool's defense damn chui especially the CDs, all they nid is to pump long balls and liverpool will crumble veri fast...
if losing is all what it takes to drive rafael out, i hope we get trashed
Birmingham is strong... do not underestimate. They drew man city, and arsenal also were not having a good time against them.
I believe that liverpool might just win this, cause its at anfield. If liverpool even fails to win this, then its really gone case already.
Liverpool will be facing man city soon, and that will be that battle for fourth spot. Liverpool needs to buck up soon. Fourth spot challengers include villa and spurs. Sunderland and everton can be the dark horses for fourth spot as well.
Home debut for our new boy - Aquilani
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is ready to give Alberto Aquilani a home debut tonight against Birmingham City.
The fans have waited so long to see the man bought to replace Xabi Alonso, so he can expect a hero's reception.
Benitez said: "It could be the time to let the Anfield fans see Aquilani at last.
"He has been getting fitter and had a short spell in a reserve game and then a few minutes at Arsenal in the Carling Cup. We had him with us in Lyon last week and I did want to bring him on. But Lucas and Javier Mascherano were controlling the game.
"So we waited a bit, we did not want to change they way the side were playing, even though he could have come on. Then we scored and there was no need to use him, it was just a shame we conceded so late.
"He was almost over the virus and he will certainly be much better on Monday. He has trained well. He does not have match fitness, but the only way to improve that is to play him in games.
"We have more players available now, so maybe he can be on the bench and then come on to change the game if necessary. He will certainly be involved."
Our New Hero?!
After all the talk about how much he cost and the relative wisdom of purchasing a player with a serious injury, its time for Alberto Aquilani to let his feet do the talking and after this long a wait he is no doubting raring to go.
A home game against Birmingham is as good a place as any to make your Premier League debut and it’s the latest in a run of must win games, that we seem to have hitherto failed to emerge victorious (Man United being the notable exception).
The improvement of Lucas this season, and even his biggest doubters would have to hold their hands up to the way the Brazilian has progressed, and Javier Mascherano beginning to get his head to together has left Rafa not being so easily able to throw Alberto in at the deep end but I think it’s time he was given a proper spell on the pitch.
The former Roma man has been discussed at length in numerous bars and offices as Liverpool fans all considered just whether the Italian international could make the grade and effectively replace Xabi Alonso, even though to be fair he is a different sort of midfielder to the Real Madrid man.
Let’s face it we have been very average of late and in fact on occasion downright awful. Our late catastrophe at Lyon however was just plain unlucky and we must try to build on the majority of that performance where we tried to impose ourselves on the opposition.
Aquilani is undoubtedly a good player and one that other Premier League sides were eying up and after this long wait I am looking forward to his being named in a starting eleven or at least getting a good half hour against the Brum.
I just played Fifa 2010 using Birmingham, and this Jerome's stats and performance is good!!!!
Okay, games aside, he is indeed a thorn in any side. I wonder if Rafa should look into this youngster come January.
Any less than a victory is a disappointment for Liverpool, but it's not going to be easy indeed.
Based on form, Birmingham have the edge, while Liverpool's been stuttering and puffing.
Then again, a wounded animal is quite dangerous hor.
I see a draw. Heh.
This will be broadcasted on ch27.
i seriously don't see any chance of us winning here.
Reina ....
Skrtel and Agger in centre of defense ...
Insua yet again at Left back .
Johnson is back at right back .
Yossi our mastermind .
Left is Reira
Right we has got Kuyt
Middle as usual Masherano our anchor man .
No sign of Aquilani , was he playing ?
omg , i saw David Ngogu ...... No Torres .
It's Liverpool's first shot on target , Ngogu .
Too softee .... i also can save the shot .
As usual , Lucas playing alongside Macherano .... he cannot la , unlike Alonso , that can spray those passes into threat .
12th Minute , Liverpool 1-0 .
David Ngogu .
Hart saved double saves .... Reira then looped the ball into Ngogu , who volley into the roof of the net .
That's it , as usual , we waiting for Brums to attack us .
And hold on to the lead like against Lyon .
Kuyt just missed a glancing header , just wide .
Birmingham midfield very weak , was bullied thru out the match by Macherano .
And Birmingham spearhead only by their lone striker Jerome .
Lee Carsley was sent in into the their anchor role ..... who was bullied .
Liverpool playing the favourite "diamond in midfield" formation .
With Yossi pushing , and Kuyt roaming from reither wings , David Ngogu as our lone striker .
It looked like Liverpool going on to win big .... kept attacking after that first goal .
knnbccb .....Benitez scores !!! Not our Benitez , their Benitez .
Nin Na Bey our defense like School boys .
U guys should have seen how Lucas have a shot at brum's goals , his shot are like sissy , even i can have a shot better .
knn lao cb , Birmingham 2-1 at Anfield ....
Jerome , knn .
Just a few seconds away from first half .
Why no Aquilani? I wake up so early to see him one le.
